Amanda S Valentine's Obituary
Branchville
Amanda S. Valentine, 51, the wife of Richard (Rick) Valentine, passed away on January 16, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, after a long illness. She was retired as a counselor at Lockett Elementary School in Branchville. She was a fabulous cook, loved shopping, animals, and spending time with her friends and family.
Mrs. Valentine was born in Charleston, a daughter of the late Gerald Albert Saulisbury and Mrs. Dorothy Mae Saulisbury. She is survived by her husband of Branchville, her mother of Rosinville, a son, Jason Valentine of Branchville, and a granddaughter, Sophie Mckenzie Valentine. She is also survived by a brother, Gerald (Ruthie) Saulisbury Jr. of Rosinville, a sister, Kathie (James) Mizell, of Ridgeville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at the Branchville Christian Church, with Rev. Kevin Hinton, Rev. Cindy Strock, and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Visitation will be Fri. night from 6-8 PM, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville.
Pallbearers will be Blakely Valentine. Fletcher Valentine, Jared Shieder, Danny Mizell, and Jack Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Ott, Vic Wimberly, Johnny Murray, Ricky Infinger, and Johnny Valentine. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to caregivers and friends Robin Polk and Cindy Strock.
