Annie Ruth Kizer's Obituary
BranchvilleRuth Garrick Kizer, 90 years of age, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, September 11th, 2024. Mrs. Kizer was born in Orangeburg Co., daughter of Harry Clifton Garrick and Annie Naomi (Bennicker) Garrick. She was a lifelong member of Cattle Creek Community Church and served as treasurer and secretary for the church. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She retired from Whetsell, Varn, White, Brunson, and Shuler MedicalPractice of Orangeburg, S.C..Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13th, 2024 at 4 pm, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, S.C. With Rev.George Gaines officiating. Burial will follow at Cattle Creek Community Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the funeral home one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be grandsons.Ruth is survived by one son Clifton H. Kizer "Wendy" of Gainesville and one daughter Sherri K. Owens "Monty" of Branchville. She is also survived by two sisters Valerie Fogle, and Linda Odell, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Julius Edward Kizer Sr., one son Julius Edward Kizer Jr., and one sister June Carter.The family will receive friends Friday 3 pm to 4 pm before the service at Ott Funeral home in Branchville, at other times friends may call the home. Memorials can be made to Cattle Creek Community Church.
