Barbara Carolyn Nobles, a devoted, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend joined our Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on September 09, 2023, at the age of 93. Nana, was known for her quick wit, her famous fried chicken, her unwavering love for God and her family. She was an active member of Buckhead Advent Christian Church, where she served the Lord as a former Sunday School teacher, church secretary, church treasurer and Deaconess.She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and past President of WHF&M.Nana was a seamstress at Smoaks Manufacturing/Carolina Visuals, where she was employed for over 63 years. She was affectionately called "Granny" by her co-workers and was known for her dedication and hard work. She loved to fish, read, cook,word searches, driving her John Deere tractor, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is survived by her daughters, Carole Jean (Jimmy) Scroggins of Cartersville, Ga., Brenda Brunson of Simpsonville, S.C., grandchildren, April (Jay) Parler of Elloree, S.C., Chris (Tammy) Brunson of Branchville, S.C., Jason (Sarah) Scroggins of Atlanta, Ga., and Stephen (Stephanie) Scroggins of Colorado Springs, C.O., great-grandchildren, Chandler Kilgus, Harrison Kilgus, Brice Brunson, Gracin Parler, Cael Parler, Jack Scroggins, Layla Scroggins, Sam Scroggins and Eli Scroggins and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.She is predeceased by her late husband, Reverend Freeman Nobles.A celebration of her life will be held at Buckhead Advent Christian Church, Smoaks, S.C. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at Ott's Funeral Home in Branchville, S.C. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be made in her honor to Buckhead Advent Christian Church.
