Barbara T Walters' Obituary
Branchville
Mrs. Barbara T. Walters, 67 years of age, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at MUSC, following an extended illness. Barbara was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Marvin L and Mable J. Turner. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Branchville. She was retired from the Orangeburg Co. Sheriff's Department, after 25 years of service, having served in various capacities, including acting Sheriff. Barbara was active in the Branchville community. She enjoyed yard work, traveling to New York, flower arranging, decorating and spending time at her beach house, in Myrtle Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Branchville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends after the service.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Boone Walters, daughter, Missy Walters, both of the home, three sisters, Faye T. Thompson (William), of Branchville, Marvine T. Rickborn (Joseph) of Reevesville, and Yvonne Spell (John) of Smoaks, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Mary Thompson and Peggy Turner.
