Benjamin Frankline Croft's Obituary
It is with a heavy heart, that the family announce the passing of Benjamin Franklin Croft, 79, of Bamberg on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Pruitt Health-Bamberg. A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 am at the South End Cemetery in Bamberg. Reverend Shawn Hanks officiating.
Franklin was born and raised in Bamberg, the son of the late Henry and Henrietta Croft, Jr. He worked in the Cotton Mill and later as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching wrestling and spending time with family.
Surviving are his sons; Jeffery Still (Carrie) of Smoaks and Michael Still (Sandra) of North; a daughter, Tammy Young (Kenny) of Bamberg; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild; a special friend, Courtney Dyches of Bamberg; his fury companion, Lucy; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; Betty Jean Cooler Croft and Fannie Marie "Sandy" Ryant; a sister, Lillie Mae Proveaux; two brothers, George "Buck" Croft and Olen Croft; a son, Tony Lamar Still; and two great great grandchildren.
The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of Pruitt Health-Bamberg and Pruitt Hospice-Aiken for the care and compassion given to our loved one.
