Branchville
Mrs. Betty Jane Parlin, 82 years of age, died Wednesday December 10, 2008 at her residences. Mrs. Parlin was born in Tampa FL, a daughter of the late Samuel A. Proctor and Lucy P. Procter. She was a member of The Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, and made her home in Branchville for the past 3 years.
Survived by her husband of 63 years, Owen A. Parlin of Branchville, one son, Michael E. Parlin of Branchville, two daughters, Susan G. Garcia of Branchville, and Cheryl A. Winsor of GA, one brother, Albert C. Proctor of Tampa FL, one sister, Alice M. Van Der Wall of FL, seven grand children, five great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Margorie Scruggs and Mildred Black, and one grandson, Michael Parlin Jr.
The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville is in charge of local arrangements, and The Adams & Jennings Funeral in Tampa FL will announce funeral arrangements at a later date.
