Smoaks
Mrs. Carrie Mell N. Linder, 98 years of age, died Monday March 2, 2009. Mrs. Linder was born in Colleton Co. a daughter of the late Joseph Nobles and Ella Lyons Nobles. She was a member of The Berea Advent Christian Church, retired from Young Wear of Smoaks, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at The Berea Advent Christian Church, with the Rev. Travis Hutcheson and Rev. Bob Burdette officiating. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before services.
Survived by two sons James A. "Punk" Linder (Carole) of Walterboro, and J.D. Linder (Melba) of Smoaks, one daughter, Annette Virden (Thurman), of Smoaks, five grand children, twelve great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and friends may call at the residence of Annette Virden (Thurman) 229 Fairlight Circle, Smoaks.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to The Winyah Hospice of Walterboro, and Tammy, Nicky.
