Catherine M Connelly's Obituary
Reevesville
Mrs. Catherine M. Connelly, 88 years of age, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Connelly was born in Branchville, a daughter of the late Joe McAlhany and Vicky Walters McAlhany. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church; she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 5, 2013, 11:00 A.M., at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, with Rev. Brian Gray and Rev. Bobby Etheridge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Mr. Lloyd Connelly, two daughters, Rachel Barnhill (Joe) and Kathy Gunter (Andy), all of Reevesville, five grandchildren, Benji (Vicky) Barnhill, Kami (Richard) Crook, Jodi (Gene) Lightfoot, Ryan (Kara) Gunter, and Julie (Brent) Gelegotis and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Virginia Preacher, Molly Holman, Nancy Harbeson (David), and Beverly Berry (Charles), three brothers, J.O. McAlhany (Yvonne), Norman McAlhany (Shirley), and Richard McAlhany (Margaret), and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rachele Barnhill.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville; at other times, friends may call at the residence. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Tabor Cemetery fund, c/o Vivian Kizer, 1116 Flat Woods Rd., Reevesville, SC 29471.
