Mr. Charles J. Graham, 83 years of age, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Veterans Victory House in Walterboro. Mr. Graham was born in Virginia, a son of the late Ralph Graham and Sarah Elizabeth Jolls Graham. Mr. Graham received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Bridgewater College and his masters from the University of Alabama. He was a US Army veteran having served 4 years as a medic in U.S. Army field hospitals; he was the widower of the late Dorothy Barron Graham.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2014, at 1:00 P.M., at the chapel of Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville, with Rev. Dale Hutto officiating. The family will receive friends prior to services. Interment will be in Sudlersville, MD.
Mr. Graham is survived by four children, Beth Sadelson (Dennis) of Ashville, NC, Susan Carter (Kenny) of Branchville, Charles Graham (Tammy) of Charleston, and Dorothy Pridgen (Gene) of Dothan, AL, nine grand children, ten great grandchildren, and one sister, Megan Shaw (Bill) of Harrington DE.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Veterans Victory House, 2461 Sidneys Rd. Walterboro, SC, 29488.
