Branchville
Mr. Charles M. Ott III, 80 years of age, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Mr. Ott was born in Branchville, a son of the late Charles M. Ott Jr. and Eugenia Myers Ott. Some of Charlie's greatest passions were dirt track racing and flying his ultra light airplane. Charlie was a certified master mechanic and taught auto mechanics at Dorchester Vocational School for a number of years.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, July 24, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., at the chapel of Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville, with Rev. Bobby Ethridge and Rev. Allan Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before services.
He is survived by Elizabeth Hinshaw of the home, five daughters, Desiree Ott Connelly "Tommy", Sheree Ott Misik "David", Mikki Ann Hancock "James", Melinda M. Bolton "Michael", and Traci H. Haven "Marc". Seven grandchildren, Daniel Walling, Ryan Collins, Ami Lowerre, Corey Hinshaw, Shea Briggs, Malachi Ford, and Keeley Haven, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Kelly Hinshaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grove Park Hospice in Orangeburg, or the charity of one's choice.
