Branchville
Mr. Claude F. McAlhany, 80 years of age, passed away December 20, 2017, at The Regional Medical Center, in Orangeburg, after a brief illness. He was born in Branchville, a son of Walter Lee and Ola Mae McAlhany. Mr. McAlhany was a retired well-driller and farmer, locally known for his peanuts . He loved his farm, its animals, and his grandchildren. He was a member of St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017, at 12:00 PM, at the St. George Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Rev. Howard Proveaux officiating. At other times, visitation will be held at the home of Terry and Stephanie McAlhany on Friday, December 22 between 4:00pm and 8:00pm and Saturday after the services. .
He is survived by wife, Rita Rosemary McAlhany, of 45 years, one daughter, Sonya Lopez (Precilano) and four sons, Claude McAlhany, Jr. (Ami), Eddie McAlhany (Heather), Terry McAlhany (Stephanie), John McAlhany and special nephew, Mike McAlhany and special niece, Brenda "Bunny" Valentine, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grand children.
