Clyde Horace Owens' Obituary
Branchville,
Mr. Clyde Horace Owens, 85 years of age, of 575 Saddle Ridge Rd., died Thursday, May 6, 2010. Mr. Owens was born in Rutherfordton, N.C., a son of the late William Crayton Owens and Mattie Scoggins Owens. He attended the Branchville United Methodist Church, was a retired farmer. and made his home in Branchville, for the past 60 years.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 3:00 P.M., at the chapel of Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville, with Rev. Grady Corder officiating. Burial will follow in McAlhany cemetery, near Branchville.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Betty E. Owens, one daughter, Diane Owens, three sons, Donald C. Owens (Gayra), Monty H. Owens (Sherri), and Todd S. Owens (Katie), all of Branchville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Tracy Owens, Tonya Abraham, Jason Owens, Matthew Owens, Meghan Owens, Kelly Owens, and Wesley Owens, six great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
