David Thompson Pinckney's Obituary
Branchville
David Thompson Pinckney, 23 years of age, was called home Sunday, May 3, 2015. David was a 2009 graduate of Branchville High School. He had a passion for baseball and was a pitcher for Branchville High, USC-Salkehatchie and numerous teams across the state. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Gamecock baseball, and attending services at Edisto Baptist Church and Prospect Southern Methodist Church. He also had a great love for animals and took in many rescue pets over the years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Prospect Southern Methodist Church, with the Reverends Bobby Etheridge, Jakie Walters and Jerry Thompson officiating, followed by interment at McAlhany Cemetery, Wire Road, Branchville SC.
Pallbearers are Ethan Beeks, Bernard Pinckney, Jr., Jared Shieder, Tyler Looper, Tyler Metts, and Ray Billbrough. Honorary pallbearers include David Blevins, Jimmy Nettles, D.L. Thompson, Ricky Beach and Toby Dukes. Visitation will be from 6-9 PM, Wednesday night at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Billy and Kathy Beeks, Wire Road, Branchville, SC.
He is survived by his parents, Nicholas J. and Sharon T. Pinckney, one brother, Nicholas J. Pinckney, Jr.; two sisters, Melissa Pinckney (Chad) Wiles and Rachel Timms (Randon) Berry; eight nieces and nephews, William Billbrough, Jason Wiles, Zachary Wiles, Brianna Wiles, Nicholas Pinckney III; Mary Grace Pinckney, Natalie Berry and Knox Berry all of Branchville; one grandmother, Dorothy Pinckney of Walterboro and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
