Delle W Wimberly's Obituary
Reevesville
Mrs. Delle W Wimberly, 91 years of age, died August 14, 2017. Delle was born, in Calhoun Co. a daughter of the late Lucius A Wiles and Leila R Wiles. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years, sang in the choir, she worked at the Branchville sewing plant, she loved working outdoors, and crocheting. Delle was the widow of the late Clyburn Metts and the late Joe Wimberly.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday August 17, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, with Rev. Corey Leggett and Rev. Bobby Etheridge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by six step children, Boley (Naomi) Wimberly of Rowesville, Nancy (Richard) Postell of Okeechobee FL, Fred Wimberly of Columbia, Kay (Jimmy) Fender, Paul (Olivia) Wimberly, and Ske - Bo (Shari) Wimberly all of Reevesville, 15 step grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law Chick Bates, Emily Metts of Orangeburg, and Jerri (Gerald) Wingard of Willington NC, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sisters Alma, Sarah, and Helen, and three brothers, Buster, Boyce, and Macadoo.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and at other times friends may call at the residence. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Donna Lucas, 1183 Flatwoods Rd., Reevesville, SC 29471.
