Edward R Axson's Obituary
Edward "Ed" Axson, 76, son of John Robert and Mildred Axson, was welcomed into Heaven by his dad, mom, brothers Johnny and Fred, and sister Ann.
He was born on November 5, 1948 in Orangeburg, SC. He graduated from Orangeburg High School and went into the Marines. Ed retired from Piggly Wiggly #75 in Orangeburg after many years as the meat market manager. He volunteered with Cattle Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Ed was a member of the of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He loved learning new trades and helping anyone in need. Ed had a heart for God and lived his life letting his faith shine brightly.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Julia, sons, Eddie (Melissa) and Robbie (Angela), daughter, Kirstie (Craig), grandchildren, Reese, Gabrielle, Grant, Zack, and Job, brother, Danny, and sister, Connie.
The family will be accepting visitors at the home of Ed & Julia.
Visitation will be held at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville on October 7th from 5-7pm. Funeral will be held on October 8, 2025 at 1pm at Beulah Baptist Church (Branchville).
