Elizabeth Burn Buchanan's Obituary
Elizabeth Burn Buchanan, 87, died peacefully, in her home on April 7, 2013. Born in Savannah and raised in Charlotte, she was the daughter of Emma Lee Smiley Burn Litton and Charles Augustave Burn. She attended Harding High School and Queens College in Charlotte. She married in 1953 and moved to Greenville several years later.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of sixty years, Bert Lee Buchanan. Her immediate family includes two daughters, Jana Payne and her husband , Bill and Bebe Inabinet and her husband, Rhett, both of Greenville. Four grandchildren were the light of her life. Michael Inabinet, Chase Inabinet, Emily Payne and Magy Payne, all of Greenville.
She also leaves behind one devoted brother, Charles Burn and his wife, Mary, of Fort Mill, and six loving nieces and nephews, Jane McCutcheon, Jay McCutcheon, Betsy Burn Talbert, Julie Burn Kimbrell, Chuck Burn and Richard Burn. She was predeceased by her wonderful sister, Joanne McCutcheon.
Elizabeth was a gracious Southern lady whom will be greatly missed by a wide and loving circle of friends and family.
A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at 3:30, Sunday, April 21st at Earle Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall beginning at 2:30.
