Branchville
Miss Erin Grace McAlhany, 13 years of age, died Monday June 3, 2013, after an extended illness. Erin was born in Orangeburg, she was a very outgoing young lady who enjoyed playing with her friends and her devoted dog, Buck, she was a Clemson fan, she enjoyed shopping, and would have been a freshman in Branchville High school this year.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at 2:00 P.M., at Prospect Southern Methodist Church, 344 Flat Woods Rd., Bowman SC, with Rev. Bill Collet officiating. Burial will follow at McAlhany cemetery near Branchville. The casket will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M.
Erin is survived by her parents, Frank and Leigh Ann McAlhany, one brother, Trey McAlhany, her paternal grandparents, Franklin and Janet McAlhany, maternal grandmother, Virginia McAlhany, all of Branchville, one aunt, Diane Lenard (Joe) of Carbondale IL.,. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, John Thomas McAlhany.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Ott Funeral home in Branchville, and at other times friends may call at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to MUSC Children's Hospital, Prospect Southern Methodist Church, or the McAlhany Cemetery fund c/o Glenn McAlhany 644 Perkins Rd., Branchville, SC 29432.
