Providence Community
Etta Maye Warren Weathers, wife of Edward M. Weathers, died at her home in the Providence community, on April 13, 2011.She was the daughter of the late Raymond Madison Warren and Annie Maye Reeves Warren. Mrs. Weathers was born in Branchville on July 26, 1924; she lived there most of her life. She was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011, at Ott Funeral Home Chapel. The service, conducted by Rev. Zach Farmer, will follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Ott Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her nephews John Edwards, Charlie Shuler, Jack Shuler, Larry Weathers, Ronnie Weathers, and Danny Weathers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Amedysis Hospice, 1180 Boulevard St., Suite A & B, Orangeburg, SC, 29115.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, a daughter, Wendy W. Jeffcoat and son-in-law Steve Jeffcoat of Branchville, grandsons who were reared in her home, Travis Stokes of Branchville, Matt Stokes and wife Tiffany of Providence community, two great -granddaughters Callie Stokes of Bowman and Kayla Stokes of Providence, a brother, William M. Warren of Branchville. She was predeceased by a sister, Sybil (Dimp) Warren Edwards. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but, most of all, sharing her work with friends and family. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Miles Hilliard, Albertha Abraham, and Amedysis Hospice of Orangeburg.
