Frances Alla Metts Smith
Frances Alla Metts Smith, widow of Rue Eugene Smith, entered into eternal rest on
April 14, 2012. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Ott Funeral Home, Branchville, SC at 1:00 PM.
Interment will be at Metts Cemetery, Clarence Road, Branchville, SC., officiated by Rev. Steve Mims and assisted by Oakley Dickson, great-nephew. The family will greet friends at Ott Funeral Home on Monday, April 16, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Smith was born March 17, 1919, in Branchville, SC, the daughter of Clarence Marion Metts and Fannie Idella Walters Metts. She worked at the former Charleston Cigar Factory and was a retiree of the State of South Carolina. She was a member of Wesley Memorial UMC of Hollywood, SC.
She is survived by her sisters: Beatrice M. Turner (Columbia, SC); Esther M. Jennings and Althaea (Teat) Dickson of Branchville, SC and many loving nieces and nephews, who she lovingly called 'her children.' Frances was preceded in death by brothers, Luther Metts, Earl A. Metts, George M. Metts, Julius C. Metts and St. Clair Metts and by sisters, Clara M. Halter, Dorothy P. Metts, Vera M. Latham, and Meta E. Metts.

7647 Freedom Road, Branchville, SC,29432 or the Branchville Baptist Church, 691 Ott Street, Branchville, SC, 29432.
The family would like to thank everyone for the many prayers and expressions of love and concern by all of the staff at Laurel Baye Healthcare of Orangeburg, SC and Hospice of Orangeburg, for their constant and devoted care that was given to our loving sister and aunt: "Well Done, Thou Good and Faithful Servant."
