Furman Durk McAlhany's Obituary
Branchville
Mr. Furman Durk McAlhany, 47 years of age, died Sunday March 16, 2008. Mr. McAlhany was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Theodore F. McAlhany. He was a long time employee of Eadies Construction Co., in Ridgeville, worked with security at Rockafella's in Summerville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a lifelong resident of the community.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 20, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville with the Rev. Scott Eadies officiating. Burial will be in the McAlhany Cemetery near Branchville.
Survived by his mother, Jodi H. Proveaux of Branchville, His wife, Lisa Ackerman McAlhany of Branchville, two sons, Joshua Derrck and Johnathon William McAlhany of Walterboro, one daughter, Christi Hunsinger (Jimmy) of Clemson, two step sons, Nicholas Todd Infinger of St. George, and Matthew David Jennings of Branchville, two step daughters, Olivia LuAnne Knight (Ernie Jr.) of St. George, and Allison Nichole Padgett of Smoaks, two brothers, Heyward "Ted" Mcalhany (Ammerrith) of Harleyville, and James Doyle Mcalhany (Alejandra) of Branchville, one adopted brother, Mike McCoy (Terri) of Summerville, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie, and one step grandson, Ernie Nicholas, and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Ott Funeral Home, and at other times 409 Reeves Branch Rd.
