Gil F Myers' Obituary
Branchville
Mr. Gilbert Franklin "Gil" Myers, 51 years of age, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Mr. Myers was born in Orangeburg, a son of Patsy O. Myers and the late J. Frank Myers. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Sons of The Confederacy, and a lifelong resident of the community.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 4, 2011, at 2:00 P.M., at the chapel of Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, with Rev. Grady Corder officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, near Branchville.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Patsy O. Myers, of Orangeburg, one son, Chris F. Myers of Orangeburg, and one sister, Ms. Karen Soffera of Winston Salem, N.C.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 5 to 7 P.M., at the Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, (803) 274-8889; at other times, friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Patsy O. Myers, 270 Plantation St., Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Thompson Cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Savon Gramling , 522 Falls Drive, Bowman, S.C. 29018.
