Gladys Huff Crum's Obituary
Branchville
Gladys Huff Crum, 90, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Trident Hospital. The funeral will be held at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, SC, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at 11:00 PM with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on the day of the funeral at the funeral home.
She was born in Branchville to Wesley and Clara Myers Huff. She taught school before marrying M.R. "Bob" Crum. She was a devoted Navy wife and mother. She retired from Farmers and Merchants Bank and was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Austin (Kirk, deceased), Carolyn Alexander (William), John Robert "Rock" Crum, all of Ridgeville, SC; her grandchildren, William Trevor Alexander, Robert Wesley "Rocky" Crum, Lee McKeel Amick (Trey), and John Clay Crum, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Owen F. Huff, of Charleston and numerous nieces and nephews, close friend Lynda Byrd, who cared for her as if she were her own mother.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother John Wesley Huff, brother Thomas Huff, sister Lucille Huff Johnston, sister Mary Huff Infinger (Charles), brother Billy Sunday "Graham" Huff (Nellie), and her special fishing buddies, Mattie Bell Collier and Florence McAlhany.
