Glenn Edward McAlhany's Obituary
Branchville
Mr. Glenn Edward McAlhany, 90 years of age, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Glenn was born in Branchville, a son of the late Edward S. McAlhany and Pearle Shuler McAlhany. He was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where he held numerous leadership roles. He loved farming, gardening, and was an avid hunter. Glenn was retired from Giant Cement Co. and was on the Board of Directors for the Branchville Fire Department.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., at the Branchville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Wayne Mobley and Rev. Zach Farmer officiating. Burial will be at McAlhany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lois R. McAlhany, one son Steve McAlhany (Gayle) of Branchville, two daughters, Debra Pyron (Scott) of Decatur GA, and Ann Belser (Roy) of Summerton, one sister, Ann Huntley (Billy) of Taylors, three grandchildren Corey McAlhany (Echo), Edwin Belser, and Alaina Belser, and two great- grandchildren, Rhett McAlhany and Cadence McAlhany. He was preceded in death by one brother, Horace McAlhany.
