Branchville
Mrs. Gloria T. "Deanie" Dozier, 62 years of age, died Wednesday January 23, 2008. Mrs. Dozier was born in Orangeburg Co. a daughter of the late Henry Thomas and St. Claire Brickle Thomas. She was a member of the Branchville Baptist Church, a member of the Grimes-Horton Sunday School Class, a former member of The Two Mile Baptist Church. Mrs. Dozier was the owner of Dee-Dee Curls Plus in Branchville. She was the head beautician at The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg of over 30 years, she worked at the Edisto Convalescent Center for 16 years, and at Magnolia's of Santee for 4 years. Mrs. Dozier has made her home in Branchville for the past 42 years; she was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother, whose heart belonged to the Lord.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday January 26, 2008, at 3:00 P.M. at The Branchville Baptist Church, With Dr. Richard Porter, Rev. Jakie Walters, and Rev. Chuck Wells officiating. Burial will be in The Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
Survived by her husband of 45 years, Frankie Dozier of the home, two daughters, Angie Walters of the home and her future son-in-law, Denney Conley of Redding CA, Lisa Moore of Bamberg, son-in-law Calvin Moore of Bamberg, father-in-law, Johnnie Dozier, one brother-in-law, Barry "Debbie" Dozier, both of Orangeburg, one sister, Joyce Nettles and husband Tim of Cordova, four grandsons, Cody and Dalton Walters of the home, Chazz and Clint Moore, both of Bamberg, a life-long best friend and "sister", Joyce "Tommy" Simpson of Black Mountain NC, former son-in-law, Monty Walters of Reevesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and at other times the home, 4210 Bowman Branch Hwy.
