Branchville
Gloria Ann Porterfield, 76 years of age, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Gloria was born in Cope, a daughter of the late John Marion Wolfe and Zelma Smoak Wolfe. She was a member of Branchville Christian Church and enjoyed tending to her flowers. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She was the widow of the late William "Bill" Porterfield.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., at Branchville Christian Church, with Rev. Wayne Manning and Rev. Beth Yarborough officiating. The casket will be placed In the church at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be in Ott Cemetery in Branchville.
Gloria is survived by three daughters, Elaine P Smoak (Earl) of Bowman, Debra Chavis (Johnny) of Branchville, and Angela Smoak of Cannon, two sisters, Pretto Hayden (Wayne) of Branchville, and Martha Martin, of St. George, two brothers Willard Wolfe and Robert Wolfe (Evelyn) both of Branchville, four grandchildren, Shannon Bozard (Allyn), Ethan Smoak, Justin Chavis and Dylan Chavis (Brittany). She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville; at other times, friends may call at the residence. Memorials may be made to MSA Hospice, 110 Express Ln., Orangeburg, SC, 29118.
