Ida Vivian Smoak's Obituary
Bowman
Mrs. Ida Vivian Smoak, 81 years of age, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at the Methodist Oaks.
Mrs. Smoak was born in Bowman, a daughter of the late Joseph Nettles and Leila Irick Nettles. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she loved singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday school. She also loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was the widow of the late Parker Julius Smoak.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2014, at 2:00 P.M., at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, with Rev. Bobby Ethridge and Rev. Corey Leggett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Douglas Earl Smoak (Elaine) of Bowman, and Julius Allen Smoak (Carleen) of Columbia, four grand children, Shannon Bozard (Allyn), Ethan Smoak, Jennifer Lisby (Jim), and Levi Smoak, two great grandchildren, Alexis Smith, and Brian Smith Jr.. She is also survived by five sisters, Myrtlene Wiles, Evelyn Rudd, Irene Shoemaker, Eunice Infinger, and Gloria Gates, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville; at other times friends may call at the home of Jennifer, 256 Ivanhoe Rd. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 1116 Flat Woods Rd., Reevesville, SC 29471.
