Ina Ott Norris' Obituary
Ina O. Norris, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully & surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday, September 28th, 2023. Ina was born on April 25th, 1937 in Branchville, SC, daughter of the late Harper Shields Ott and the late Rosa Nelle W. McCoy(Ott), both of Branchville,SC. She is survived by her children: Howard Norris Jr. of Bonneau, SC and Cindy Leatherwood of Hanahan, SC. Her sister Bonnie Crawford(Jim) of Lexington, SC. Her grandchildren: Brooke Norris Lee, Victoria Norris, Nicholas Leatherwood, Meghan Norris, Wesley Leatherwood, and Christopher Leatherwood. She is survived by two great grandchildren: Eli Calhoun Lee and Samuel Brandon Lee. Ina is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Ina spent all of her years taking care of and loving her family, friends, and those she encountered along the way. Ina enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, and thrift shopping. She also greatly enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and smocking gifts to share with others. Ina was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard E. Norris, of 56 years. Along with her parents, she was also preceded by her brother Larry Ott(Jeanette). Ina's strength and love for life pushed her to fight all the way until the end. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. To have been loved by her, was a blessing that will be in our hearts forever. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 2nd, 2023 at 2pm located at Ott Cemetery in Branchville SC
