Ira L. McAlhany's Obituary
Mrs. Ira L. McAlhany, 95 years of age, died Monday, July 13, 2009. Mrs. McAlhany was born in Birmingham AL., a daughter of the late Robert A. Logan and Susan B. Logan. Mrs. McAlhany was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church; she had a passion for gardening; she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; she was the widow of the late Fletcher McAlhany and she was a lifelong resident of the community.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11:00 A.M., at Ott Cemetery in Branchville, with Rev. Grady Corder officiating.
She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Sue McAlhany of Branchville and Sandy M. McCracken (Arden) of Houston TX, two granddaughters, Kelly Barnhill (John) of Austin, TX and Kasey McCracken of Portland, OR., and five great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Ott Funeral Home, and friends may call at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Branchville United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice.
