James Victor Peek "Vic", 54 years of age, died Thursday, November 24, 2016. Vic loved hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of Edisto Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 28, 2016, at Edisto Baptist Church, with Rev. Jakie Walters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, at other times friends may call at the residence.
He is survived by his wife, Janet W. Peek of the home, one son, Charles M. Peek (fiancée Rachel Ingram), one daughter Victoria P. Hightower, both of Bamberg, three grandchildren, Riley James Peek, Lucas Marshall Hightower "Luke", and Nathan Connor Hightower, his mother, Mary Bailey Bush, two sisters Regina Barth (Rory) and Kay Johnston (Tim), and a number of nieces and nephews. Vic is preceded in death by his father, James C. Peek, and his grandparents, Rev. C.R. Bailey and Helene Bailey.
