James D Weeks Jr., better known as Danny, 63 years of age, left this earth Friday September 22, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. Danny was born in Charleston Co., SC. A son of the late James D Weeks Sr., and Evelyn Weeks of Branchville. He was retired from the U.S. Postal service of Delaware and served in the U.S. Navy.A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, at Ott's Funeral 7305 Freedom Rd, Branchville, SC 29432 with Rev. Alan Woodward officiating at 1:00PM. A viewing will start at 12:00PM. The family will receive friends after the services at David and Michelle Powell's residence, 3602 Calhoun St, Branchville.Danny is predeceased by his sister Joyce Sinkler and twin brother Ronnie Weeks.He is survived by his wife Melissa Weeks of Barnwell, Son James D Weeks III, and wife Jennifer of Pennsylvania, and daughter Elizabeth Weeks of Virginia, two grandchildren Aiden Johnson and Lilly Perkins, Sister Kim Ulmer and brother-in-law Ronnie Ulmer, Sister Diane W Byrd and brother-in-law Mickey Byrd. Brother-in-law Allen Sinkler IV, step-daughter Leslie Perkins, Niece Michelle and David Powell, and children, Niece Lesley and Shane Johnson and children, and Nephew Allen Sinkler V. Pallbears are Thomas Edwards, Allen Sinkler IV, Allen Sinkler V, Tony Judy, David Powell, and Monte Ward.Danny Weeks' memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
