Jerold L Hook's Obituary
Branchville
Jerold L. Hook, Jr., 78 years of age, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Providence Medical Center, after an extended illness. He was born January 19, 1936, in West Columbia, a son of the late Jerold L. Hook, Sr. and Edna Geddings Hook. He was a member of Branchville Christian Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed as an electrician at Greenwood Mills Liner Plant, Phoenix in Bamberg, and later retired from DMC in Orangeburg.
Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, in West Columbia, at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, with Rev. John Derrick and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating.
Jerold is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley B. Hook, one son Jerold L. "Butch" Hook, a daughter, Holly H. Cook, and one sister, Betty Jane (Bob) Enlow. Also surviving are grandchildren Jason Woodruff, Chad Hook, Billy Hook, Allana Cook, Samuel Inabinet, and great grandchild, Hailey Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert E. Hook and sister, Geraldine H. Hook.
