Joan Westbury Barnette, Smithfield, VA passed September 28, 2015 at age 85. Joan was blessed with 3 children: Thomas Martin Barnette, Cynthia Barnette Weger and Tamara Barnette Munford and 6 grandchildren. A special loving thank you to her medical caregivers throughout her illness: Patricia Stephens and Roma Harrell, without their kind support, her desire to live her final days in the comfort of her loving son's home would not have been possible. Sister of 8, Joan is survived by one sister, Mildred W Baker, Harleyville, SC. Joan will be peacefully laid to rest at a graveside funeral Sardis Church, Branchville, SC at 9 AM on October 1, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the cemetery fund for Sardis UMC, c/o Tom Jennings, 731 North Street, Branchville, SC, 29432.
