JoeAnn Turner Hendricks' Obituary
Branchville
Mrs. JoeAnn T. Hendricks, 69 years of age, died Sunday November 25, 2007. Mrs. Hendricks was born in Branchville, a daughter of the late Rufus L. Turner and Justine Watson Turner. She served as president of the Branchville R.R. Daze committee for a number of years. She worked for the Branchville Public School system and retired from the Orangeburg Consolidated School District 4. Mrs. Hendricks was an active member of the Branchville United Methodist Church and she was the treasurer of the church. She was a Trustee of the Sardis Cemetery Committee, and a lifelong resident of the Branchville community.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday November 27, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at The Branchville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Grady Corder, Dr. Mike Smith, Dr. Richard Porter, and Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery in Branchville. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before services.
Mrs. Hendricks was preceded in death by one son, Larry L. "Bubba" Hendricks. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Larry Hendricks of the home, one son, Juel Hendricks and wife Nancy of Branchville, one daughter, Karen H. Griffith and husband Raysor of Bowman, one daughter in law, Lynette P. Hendricks of Branchville, three grand children, Ray Griffith, Kyle Griffith and wife Amanda, and Leslie Hendricks, two step grand children, Mikie Smoak, Ashley Shuler and her husband Jason, two step great grand children, Hannah and Hunter Smoak, one very special aunt Virginia McAlhany, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, and at other times, the resident 751 North St. Memorials may be made to the Branchville United Methodist Church General Fund, P.O. Box 87 Branchville, SC 29432.
