John "Johnny" Griffith Collier, 71, of Branchville, SC, passed away on April 14, 2017.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Sardis Church Cemetery, Branchville, SC, with the Reverend Jerry Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the gravesite.
Johnny was born May 7, 1945, in Branchville, SC. He was the son of the late Hubert Griffith Collier, and the late Mattie B. Connor Collier. He was a lifetime resident of Branchville and a graduate of Branchville High School.
Survivors include a son, Timothy John Collier of New Smyrna Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Jake and Ella Marie Collier of FL; two sisters, Mary Emma Williams, and Nancy C. Fair (Ben); a brother-in-law, LeGrande Fender; three nieces, Darlene M. Bell (Kevin), Carla M. Newsome (Kenny) and Kim M. Leggett (Chad); a nephew, Benji Fair; two aunts, Margaret Balzano and Betty Rae Hutto; two great-nephews; three great nieces; three great-great nieces; a great-great nephew; and a number of cousins.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was predeceased by a sister, Ann Collier Fender.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials me made to the Sardis Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Tom Jennings, 731 North Street, Branchville, SC 29432 or to a charity of one's choice.
