Mrs. Joyce L Burdette, 83 years of age, died Friday February 24, 2017. Joyce was born in Blue Creek WV, a daughter of the late Thomas McGraw and Heddy N. McGraw. She enjoyed crocheting and playing the game aggravation. She was a member of Berea Advent Christian Church, and she was the widow of the late Rev. Bobby Burdette.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Berea Advent Christian Church with Rev. Mike Lupo officiating. Burial will follow in Hagan Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Esther Wilson (Michael) of Hanahan, one son David Burdette (Iva) of Smoaks, one sister Ellen Withrow of FL, one brother Marvin McGraw of WV, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by five siblings and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday March 3, 2017, from 5 to 7 PM, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; and at other times friends can call at the residence. Ott Funeral Home in Branchville is assisting the family.
