Joyce Collins' Obituary
Branchville
D. Joyce Collins, 79 years of age, died Saturday, February 25, 2017. Joyce was born in Rowesville, a daughter of the late Willie W Wiles and Mattie Nettles Wiles. Having grown up in church, gave Joyce a strong faith in Christ to live her life. She loved singing in church, working with her flowers; she was an avid fan of her grandchildren and their sporting events. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted February 28, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Lighthouse Community Baptist Church, in St. George, with her grandson, Rev. Jonathon Collins, and Rev. Rawls Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 60 years, John D. Collins, one son Jeff Collins (Sherry) of St. George, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Collins (Grier), Jamie Collins (Cayce) both of St. George, Jonathan Collins, of Alabama, and Lauren Collins, of North Carolina, one great grandchild, Cade Collin, one sister, Jewel McLellan (Robert) of Cordova, one brother, W.D. Wiles (Catherine) of GA. She is preceded in death by a son John Collins Jr. and eleven siblings.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 PM, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; at other times, friends may call at the home. Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Community Baptist Church, 5801 W. Jim Bilton Blvd., St. George, SC, 29477.
