Karilean Smoak's Obituary
Miss Karilean Smoak entered into eternal rest at the age of 79.
Born on November 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late David Daniel Smoak and Jettlean Legette Smoak.
Karilean was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Bamberg, South Carolina. She attended Bowman High School and lived a life marked by service to others. She participated in three mission trips to Puerto Rico, sharing her faith and compassion with those in need. For eight years, she worked at Rockland and she faithfully cared for others. Known by family and friends as a "jack of all trades," Karilean could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and tackle any task with determination and skill.
She is survived by her sisters, Edith Griffis (Earl) of Lake Butler, Florida, Sue Smoak Wiles (Stanley) of Branchville, South Carolina; and her brother, Claude D. Smoak of Bowman, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Smoak Collins.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Brad Hudson officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Miss. Smoak will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, willingness to serve others, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and dedication.
