Leila Huggins McCracken's Obituary
Branchville
Mrs. Leila Huggins McCracken, 95 years of age, died December 5, 2010. Mrs. McCracken was born in Neeses, SC, a daughter of the late Lizzie Hutto Johnson and Lawrence Simmie Johnson. Mrs. McCracken was a member of Branchville Baptist Church and the widow of the late Thomas Byrnes Huggins, and S.J. McCracken. She loved gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., at the chapel of Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, with Rev. Charles Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Ghents Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Denmark. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
She is survived by one son, Daniel Joseph Huggins (Arlene), two daughters, Mazie Huggins Hightower (Eddie) and Cynthia Huggins O'Quinn (William), seven grandchildren, Dan Huggins, Jr. (Tammy), Joyce Huggins Pyle (Marty), Toni Hightower Ott (Clifton), Von Hightower, Will O'Quinn (Nadine), Brian O'Quinn (Emily), and Brandi O'Quinn Boan (Jarred), seven great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Cat., a special care taker and friend.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville; friends may also call at the residence of William and Cynthia H. O'Quinn, 4657 Bowman Branch Hwy, Branchville.
