Lois R McAlhany's Obituary
Branchville
Mrs. Lois Evelyn McAlhany, 93 years of age, died Sunday May 5, 2019. She was born on November 20, 1925 near Reevesville SC.
She was the wife of the late Glenn Edward McAlhany for 69 years, and the daughter of the late James Bush Reeves and the late Pearl McAlhany Walters Reeves. She was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church for over 60 years, where she served on various committees, in addition to being financial secretary for more than forty years. Lois was a devoted home maker who loved gardening and was known for her baking.
Lois is survived by a son, Steve McAlhany (Gayle) of Branchville - two daughters, Debra Pyron (Scott) of Decatur Ga. and Ann Belser (Roy) of Summerton - three grandchildren, Corey McAlhany (Echo), Edwin Belser (Frances), and Alaina Belser - two great grandchildren Rhett and Cadence McAlhany - one brother, TW Reeves (Annie Mae) of St. George and sister-in-law Ann Huntley (Billy) of Taylors, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her late husband, she was predeceased by sister, Christine Reeves Judy, and brothers James A. Walters and Peter A. Walters.
Funeral Services will be held 11am Tuesday May 7th at Branchville United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Mobley officiating. Burial will be at McAlhany Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 6th from 6pm to 8pm at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be made to Branchville United Methodist Church Building Fund PO Box 87 Branchville S.C.
