Mable Johnson Turner's Obituary
Branchville
Mrs. Mable Laura Johnson Turner, 91 years of age, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Faye (William) Thompson, of Branchville.
Mrs. Turner was born in Orrum, NC, a daughter of the late Sidney Johnson and Straudie Nye Johnson. She was a retired supervisor from Ambler Industries. She was a member of Branchville Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Marvin L. Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 3:00 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville with Rev. Tim Shaw and Chaplin Gideon Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before services. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery, in Branchville.
She is survived by four daughters, Faye (William) Thompson, Barbara (Boone) Walters, both of Branchville, Marvine (Joseph) Rickborn of Reevesville, and Yvonne (John) Spell of Smoaks, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Dora McConnaghy of Norfolk, VA, one sister-in-law Virginia McAlhany, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Jean Turner, and Mary T. Thompson, one son-in-law, C. Kenneth Thompson Sr., one great- great granddaughter, Kali Ann Thomas, four brothers, and three sisters.
