Margaret Garris Frazee's Obituary
Branchville
Margaret Rhoad Garris Frazee of Branchville died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the age of 95. Born October 6, 1919, in Bamberg County, she was the daughter of the late Boyd D. Rhoad and Vivian Reeves Rhoad. She was a lifetime member of Branchville Methodist Church. She was an avid supporter, board member and worker of the Branchville Railroad Daze Festival since its inception in 1969. Her contributions were invaluable to its success. She is survived by her son, Marion Rhoad Garris and his wife, Jody, of Orangeburg; grandson Andrew Marion (Jennifer) Haworth of Columbia, granddaughter Meredith Marie Garris of Orangeburg, granddaughter Megan Chapman (G.W.) Jackson of Orangeburg, and granddaughter Mindy Chapman (Micah) Brown of Branchville; great-granddaughter Cadence Jackson of Orangeburg; brother Larry Hendricks of Branchville; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Marion Garris in 1974 and Leland Frazee in 2012, daughter Marilyn Garris Chapman, and brothers Rufus Rhoad and Harry Hendricks. A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 3pm, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ott Cemetery in Branchville.
