Margaret Dukes Summers' Obituary
Margaret "Tee" Alcyone Dukes Summers, age 87, of Bowman, SC, saw the face of Jesus on Friday, November 22, 2024. She was born on February 15, 1937, to the late Henry and Roberta Dukes. She retired as office manager of Frontier Telephone Company in Bowman, SC. She was a graduate of St. George High School. She was a faithful member at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served in many positions throughout the years. She loved Jesus, her husband of 69 wonderful years, her children, grands, great-grands, all of her family and friends that she's left behind.She loved cooking and spending time with her family and traveling with her husband throughout the entire United States. She loved shopping at Belks for bargains and going out for nice meals. During her free-time she loved having a remote in her hands as she watched many shows on TV. She began every day before getting sick with breakfast, devotion & prayer for all of her loved ones by name with her husband, Bernie.She is survived by the love her of life/husband, Bernie Summers; her children, Ronnie (Lanee), Wanda (James) Wiles, her grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Murray, Cullen Summers, Jay (Hannah) Wiles, Lee (Bonnie) Wiles; five great-grandchildren, Ava & Anaston Murray, Regan, Micah, & Cora Wiles; her brother, Wayne (Brenda) Dukes, sister-in-laws; Edith Dukes, Gerry Dukes & Nona (Curtis) Clark along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her child, parents, brothers, brother-in-law & sister-in law, Tara Elizabeth, Philip (Duck), Gene, HL Dukes, Johnny & Mary Summers.A celebration of life service will be held at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church on November 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM and officiated by Rev. Jay Johnson and Rev. Bobby Etheridge. A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to services.Pallbearers will be Jay Wiles, Lee Wiles, Cullen Summers, Adam Murray, Phil Dukes, Sandy Dukes, Gene Dukes, Steve Summers, Greg Clark, & John Clark.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mt. Tabor cemetery fund 1183 Flatwoods rd. Reevesville SC 29471.
