Maria Louise Perez Chavez, 99, widow of David Chavez, passed away February 12, 2016. Born June 26, 1916 in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Francisco Perez and Rosa Izquierdo Perez. Maria worked as a seamstress for 20 years at Barker Brothers' Drape Company in CA. Surviving are sons David Chavez Jr. (Connie) of Granada Hills, CA, George Chavez (Estela) of Whittier, CA, and daughter Sylvia Vargas (Mario) of Camden, SC; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 3:30 pm Saturday, February 20th, at Ott Funeral Home in Branchville, SC with Rev. Tony Hancock officiating.
