Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Griffin Williams, 68 years of age, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Colleton Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Williams was born June 13, 1946 in Branchville, a daughter of the late Fred H. Griffin Jr. and Mary Eliza Bozard Griffin. She was an avid genealogist; she loved to garden and paint. Mrs. Williams was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she was the widow of the late Gary Behneman Williams
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 2:00 P.M., at Target United Methodist Church in Holly Hill, with Rev. Ed Stilts officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before services.
She is survived by two sons, Gary B. Williams Jr. "Ashley" of Branchville and Alex Albert Williams "Wendy" of Orangeburg, one daughter, Lisa Ann Williams Chaplin "Parrish" of Branchville, two grandchildren, Joshua Chaplin, and Aiden "Griff" Williams.
