Branchville
Our parents were reunited as our dear mother, the widow of Homer M. Thompson, Sr., Maude Collier Thompson, 88 of 480 Ott St. Branchville, went home to her eternal reward in heaven on Nov. 23. The family will be receiving friends at the residence. Visitation will be 1 p.m. on Friday Nov. 25 with the service following at 2 p.m. at the Branchville Christian Church, preceding burial in the Thompson Cemetery. Arrangements are being made through Ott Funeral Home. Services will be officiated by Ministers, Wayne Manning, Phil Fincher (grandson) and Jerry Thompson (son). Pallbearers: 8 Grandsons: Chris Fairey, Shawn Fairey, Chad Thompson, Brent Thompson, Todd Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Justin Thompson, Heston Thompson and nephew, Frank Vick.
Maude or Collier (GMT) as she was fondly known by many, was born in Elloree, SC the daughter of the late Lucious Robert and Maude Hill Collier. She was a retired LPN having nursed for private practices in Orangeburg and Walterboro, SC. She was well known for reaching out to assist friends and family in anyway she could using her nursing skills. She was a member of the Branchville Christian Church.
Survivors include her sister Rose Myers (Babe), a daughter Libby Fairey (fiancée Roy Judy) and four sons: Homer M. Thompson, Jr. (Connie), D.L. (Jenny) Randy (Rhonda) and Jerry ( Cindy) and her beloved grandchildren, great grands, nieces and nephews.
