Molly M Holman's Obituary
Molly Ruth McAlhany Holman, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, February 6 at her residence. She was born in Branchville, a daughter of Joe W. and Vickie W. McAlhany. For the past 30 years, she enjoyed spending time with her "Shop" family at Holman's Small Engine Repair where many affectionately called her "Mama." Before serving the community there, she worked at Mayer Industries, Inc. and Liberty Life Insurance.Molly will be remembered for her sharp wit, straightforward speech, winning smile, endearing laugh and strong work ethic. She appreciated a good joke and a good book andremained a big fan of westerns. In addition to her deep love for family and friends, she embraced a long life with her dogs, cats and birds.Mrs. Holman, the widow of William M. Holman, Sr., is survived by three children, Marlene (Val) Tyras-Krupin, BonnieH. Whitehurst, and William "Billy" (Donna) Holman; three grandchildren, Michele Troutman, Asheigh and Dalton Holman; two great grandchildren, Lauren Troutman and Jeremy Bufkin. She is also survived by siblings, Richard (Margaret) McAlhany, Beverly Berry, Nancy (David) Harbeson, and a sister-in-law, Yvonne (J.O.) McAlhany, many nieces and nephews and extended chosen family. She touched many hearts and will be missed by all.Memorial services will be at Ott Funeral Home on Friday, February 16 at 1 PM with Bro. Charlie Snipes of Bethel Baptist Church (Cope) officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before services.
