Nadine Barrs Metts' Obituary
Orangeburg
Mrs. Nadine B. Metts, 83 years of age, died Friday June 8, 2007. Mrs. Metts was born in Bamberg, a daughter of the late Robert W. Barrs and Lula C. Barrs. She was a member of the Orangeburg Church of God, and made her home in Orangeburg for the past 30 years.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday June 11, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at The South Side Cemetery in Bamberg. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 P, M. at The Ott Funeral Home in Branchville.
Survived by her husband of 36 years, Mr. Andrew F. Metts of Orangeburg, one son, Randle Grooms and wife Sandra of Augusta, one daughter, Patricia McPherson and husband Charles of TX, five grand children, Steve McPherson and wife Michelle, Brenda Melton and husband Tommy, Barry Sharpe and wife Carla, Steve Sharpe and wife Yvonne, and Darrell Grooms and wife Jan, nine great grand children, and one nephew, James Sweatman and wife Lillie Mae.
She is preceded in death by one son, Julian C. Sharpe, and two grand children, Brian Grooms, and Demetrius Leaphart.
