Nancy Ott Hendricks, 71 years of age, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. Nancy was born October 16, 1952, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Louie P. Ott and Iris Herndon Ott. Nancy was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Georgia Southern University. She taught fourth grade at Lockett Elementary for 34 years until her retirement then she taught at Bowman Academy and Clarendon Hall. She loved spending time at Edisto Beach and Edisto River whenever possible.A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2024,in the chapel of Ott Funeral Home, Branchville, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Nancy is survived by her daughter, Victoria (Ashley) Shuler of Branchville. She was "Nanny" to her granddaughter, Baylee Suzann Shuman. She is survived by one nephew, Louie P. Ott III (Judy), of Branchville, two great nieces, Lindsey Ott Smoak (Drake) and Jenna Ott, and her two faithful dog companions, Gus and Brownie. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Louie P. Ott Jr., sister-in-law, Sharon H. Ott and sister, Janie L.
