Nora M Zeigler's Obituary
Mrs. Nora Anna Metts Zeigler, 89, of Branchville passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of the late Heyward C. Zeigler, Sr. She was born in Rowesville on February 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Rufus and Ethel (Byrd) Metts. She retired from Kimlor Mills of Orangeburg.Nora was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church. She was a skilled seamstress. She loved to crochet and give her items away. She loved her flowers, reading, and working Sudoku puzzles.She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Austin of Bowman, Susan Z. Foster of Spartanburg; her two sons, Heyward Zeigler and David (Susan) Zeigler, both of Branchville; ten grandchildren, Jason Austin, Erin Fogle, Will Foster, Jessica Potts, Megan Hughes, Chris Zeigler, Heyward Lawrence Zeigler, William Zeigler, Summer Hudson, and Ron Garrett; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Metts of Monks Corner and a sister, Amanda (Ray) Drawdy of Branchville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by brothers, Rufus Metts, Jr. and Floyd Metts.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Branchville United Methodist Church, with Wayne Mobley officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Zeigler, Heyward Lawrence Zeigler, William Zeigler, Brett Banks, Frankie Metts, Shay Byrd, David Long and Brad Drawdy. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Ott's Cemetery at a later date.Memorials may be made to Branchville United Methodist Church or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Online condolences can be made at www.ottfh.com.
