Norman Edward McAlhany's Obituary

Norman Edward McAlhany, 81 years of age, died Thursday, March 10, 2016. Mr. McAlhany was born in Branchville, a son of the late Joe George Washington McAlhany and Rachel Victoria McAlhany. Mr. McAlhany loved spending time training horses, raising cows, farming, and spending time with his family and friends. He was the widower of the late Shirley McAlhany.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at Ott Funeral Home, in Branchville, with Rev. Wayne Reeves officiating; burial will be in McAlhany Cemetery in Branchville.
He is survived by one son, Norman "Eddie" McAlhany Jr. (Karen), one daughter, Sheryl McAlhany Brown, both of Orangeburg, five grandchildren, Courtney, Allison, and Katie McAlhany, Andrea and Rachael Brown. He is also survived by one Brother, Richard McAlhany (Margaret), four sisters, Virginia Preacher, Molly Holman, Nancy Harbeson (David), Beverly Berry (Charles), and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Connelly, and one brother, J.O. McAlhany.
The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 8 P.M., at Ott Funeral Home; at other times, friends may call at the residence of Eddie and Karen McAlhany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thru the Bible Radio, P.O. Box 7100, Pasadena, CA, 91109, or the charity of one's choice.
